The Fourth Fisherman – Joe Kissack

Recommended
In The Fourth Fisherman, Joe Kissack tells the story of a group of Mexican fishermen who were lost at sea for several months. He also weaves in his own story; how he appeared to have everything, when inside he was lost and hurting.
The two sides of the story are completely different.

The fishermen lived simple lives; Kissack had everything he could want. The fishermen had faith in God, and it was the only thing that really kept them alive; Kissack spent many years trying to fill the void with worldly things.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a real-life example of God's provision when things seem hopeless. Even if you don't normally read nonfiction (I don't), I would recommend this book.

I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.
