Orthodoxy gets a bad rap these days. It is, for many, a concept inextricably linked to images of strutting Pharisees and the (admittedly unpleasant) smell of burnt heretic. “Go away,” they say, though perhaps not in so many words. “Take your lifeless and restricted bigotry elsewhere.”
Others recognize the importance of orthodoxy, but fail to grasp its beauty or use it in a loving and Scriptural manner. For these people, right theology is a donkey’s jawbone perfectly suited to slaying uncircumcised Philistines – or their neighbor, whoever “asks for it” first.

Most people interpret I Kissed Dating Goodbye at face value: a "homeschooler's" book counseling people who to stop dating and not kiss until they get married. And while parts of that are true, that's like skimming the frosting off of a cake and saying that you've eaten the cake. This book is packed with so much more than just a 'don't date because it's bad' attitude. This book is radical: though it's not for the reason you'd think.
I’ve read this book now three times. And I still love it. If I were to recommend one book to any teen in a relationship, it would be this one. The only other that comes close is “Boy Meets Girl” the sequel (but you’ll have to wait for the review on that one, I want to re-read it! :D)
